I placed an order from digikey and it hasn't been processed yet, do they process orders over weekends? It's been 2 days. I thought they would be a bit faster than that. I am anxious to get some I2C bus expanders

I doubt it. I don't think that the two main UK suppliers - RS and Farnell - process orders over weekends either. I ordered some devices from RS yesterday, I'll get them tomorrow. If you'd ordered late on Friday, I'd have thought that they would ship this morning.

I believe the orders are processed 24/7, and you should have gotten a confirming email almost instantly. Otherwise, they would have no way of tracking inventory levels in real time. Did you remember to click "Submit Order", at the last screen? (I ask only because I neglected this final step once.) Orders are shipped only on business days, however.

That sounds like they have an automative process or script running. They can't ship anything through the mail on Sunday. Even most UPS and Fed Ex drivers have off.

@C.W. Thanks for your input, posted link to their help, it states they only ship between monday and friday. I couldn't access the help links because of javascript errors when I clicked on their help links, I think its my AV blocking some scripts.

@Phil - Yes I did complete the order, just recieved an email that it has been shipped.

It is my first order through digi-key so I was unsure, I figured some-one here had orderd from them, so I asked. I am leary of placing online orders with companies I have never done business with before. I'm certain digi-key, bgmicro, allelectronics, jameco, sparkfun, and mouser are all decent companies for ordering parts online.

    Jorge,

You should get excellent service from Digi-Key, I've purchased from them as a hobbyist since the early 80's and have always been pleased.

I've also had no problems with Jameco and Mouser, have not used the others yet.

They take orders electronically 24/7 but they only do pick and place and shipping during 5 day normal business hours. If you select one of the next-day shipping methods they tell you by what time PST you must get the order in in order to guarantee same day shipping.
