Propeller 2 - PAL Video Compatibility?

Hi All,
I Realise is very early (or not) to be asking if the next generation chip will be more PAL standards compatible. Is not realistic to expect the end user of a proposed commercial product to be able to furnish a display monitor that can handle NTSC and psuedo PAL standards to be able to use something.
I know have "hackled furs" here before by asking such questions, the world of video standards is certainly a very global place and a world does exist beyond NTSC alone.
Regards
Mike.

The security industry has been 'going digital' for the last 6 or 7 years.
In CCTV the split between analogue and digital (IP) video is roughly 80:20 in favour of analogue.
(I got this info at a meeting with the MD of the UK's largest CCTV distributor just last week)
Admittedly it is changing and digital is growing more and more but analogue will be around for a long time yet........
My own company is almost entirely digital on CCTV installations, we seem to be bucking the trend....
I guess to answer Mike's original question, I would say yes it will support PAL better than Prop 1 but like the Prop 1 it will depend on the drivers.
I'm sure some bright spark will write a driver to take advantage of the greater processing power and get closer to the PAL standard that you crave.

Coley
