servo weight limit?

So any one know the exact weight limit for the standard servo that comes with the homework kit?
I need it to lift and turn a directional antenna and need to know the weight limit. :frown:

I don't know but their standard servo says it has "43.1 oz-in torque at 6 V" so if I didn't know anything else then I wouldn't go above 43.1 oz in torque for the one and 1.2 kg.cm for the other.

The only real way to know is to test it and overload it or break one because even good products need to be tested.

Servos are more useful for precision motion on small loads than brute force output. You'll be hard-pressed to get a quote on an "exact weight limit". In general, lighter loads=longer lasting. When in doubt, use a larger servo (1/4 scale servos are beefy) or a gearmotor.
