Professional Developement Board

I recently ordered a Parallax Professional Developement Board, but I am concerned about a few things. I build a Boe-Bot before, but the Basic Stamp 2 microcontroller was low profile programming and erased all the information on the microcontroller within 6 hours. I didnt know what was happening because I am a first time programmer, and I tend to blab about things that I have no idea about. So, please answer these questions:

Does the profesional developement work better than the Boe-Bot?
What microcontroller does the board use?
Does it have any similarities, processor wise, to the propeller?
Does it have industrial level capabilities?

"Low Profile Programming"? What do you mean by that? Erased all information by itself? It only hold the last program you downloaded. It always overwrites EEPROM, and can not program to RAM like the Propeller.

It's just another board to plug a BS1, BS2, SX, or Javelin into. It does have many hardware otions not available on the BOE
What microcontroller does the board use?

It comes with none. You can add a BS1, BS2, SX28, or Javelin
Does it have any similarities, processor wise, to the propeller?

Not really close. PROP-8 core, 32K HUB RAM, 80-100MHz.
Does it have industrial level capabilities?

BS2 designs have been used in industrial environments for years

The PDB can be thought of as a large BOE with a lot of breadboard space and a lot of interface devices already built on. It's a great board. I have 2.

Since he asked in the Basic Stamp forum, I assumed it is #28138

Just curious - may I ask how? Answer: it overwrites the information with new programs.
