No Serial Port Found Error
I'm using a Propeller Demo Board in Windows 7. I hook up the the 6-9 V power plug into a 9V AC adapter, hook up the Demo Board to the computer using a MiniUSB cable, and turn the Propeller on. When I plug in the propeller, the FTDI drivers detect a new device, and create a COM3 port. However when I try to "Identify Hardware" in the Propeller Tool, it tells me that no serial port was found on COM3. I've confirmed that the AC adapter does in fact output 9 V, and the lights flash when I connect the Propeller and when I try to start programming to it. What's wrong?

Your error says "No serial port was found on COM3"? Normally it says "No Propeller chip found on any serial port.".
You may want to try and reload the FTDI drivers. Go into your installed software and locate the two FTDI drivers and uninstall them.
Then go to this link: http://www.parallax.com/tabid/530/Default.aspx
...and reload the drivers and try to identify again.
