Just up on Hack-A-Day

The invisible PC board Arduino...sorta
(airduino)

Would be fun to build some projects like this using a prop or an AVR.
It needs more bling in the form of twinkling LEDs though.

From an art standpoint it really looks cool, but I can image that those solder connections would frequently break with any amount of actual use. still..

Yes of course, it really is more art than practical tech.

A similar project but done in three dimensions instead of
mimicking the two dimensions of a circuit board would be
    even better.

'Looks like a PCB that's been attacked by fiberglass-eating moths!

Looks like a nice companion piece to an air guitar.

Hey, what's it use for a ground plane? the ionosphere?

    Cool!

Build it (with a Prop, of course) in 2-D or 3-D, create forms (like for a concrete pour) and then cast it in lucite, leaving all the connectors exposed - it would look like it was surrounded buy ice.......a Propsicle!!

I imagine that someone could dip it in epoxy which might fix the problem.

Copler cladding is basically glued to the standard circirt board.

So i dont know how the etchant would effect to clear part of the board.

or the tempature of the soldering would work.

    It is neat though.

Glue that to some clear acetate, or maybe even fabric, You would have a Poor man's version of a Flexible PCB.

Guess you could call it an "Airduino"
