Like Post-It notes, super glue was initially deemed a failure...

I use this stuff almost daily, along with accelerator. I always wonder how much I'm shortening my life breathing the fumes. So I'm happy to hear Harry made it to 94! Not that he ever used it as much as I do.

In tribute, I'll pass along a great tip once again. Thin superglue plus baking soda makes strong, rock-hard parts. You can make fillets, reinforce, even rough-rapid-prototype your own parts! Lay out a thin layer or line of BS (baking soda, not otherwise) and then apply superglue. Keep the glue bottle tip out of the BS, and that ain't no BS.

NB: It gets hot and releases noxious fumes, so be careful! You can build up layers and make strong parts.

Rest in peace Harry!

So, he saw no further use in... sticking around.

.... although, "His memory will stick with us forever"

(I didn't think of that, was posted below the article)

I've heard that funeral homes use super glue on the deceased to keep their eyes and mouth shut.

And I've heard that funeral homes use super glue on the relatives of the deceased to keep their wallets wide open.

It makes for an ugly service when the funeral director gets those two mixed up.

erco, are you using superglue and bs to laminate things? I know you like plywood robot bases or something similar.

@lardom: A friend of mine reinforces small wood parts with just thin superlue. He soaks the entire outside then adds accelerator, which turns rock hard. Takes a lot of sanding and releases lots of noxious, choking, eye-burning cyanide gas. Not recommended.

Surely you guys have seen the old superglue in the ping pong ball trick? Makes quite an explosion. Can't find any Youtube vidz just now, I'll keep looking. Maybe it's not that well known...
