I usually don;t do this, but I was looking for Something else on E-bay, and serendipitously found these ... I did in good faith order one pack of 50 BTW

A bag of 50 works out to about 40 cents a pop, normally these go for about $2.00 a piece.

...I have used these in the past and really like them. These are about 1/5th the cost that I would normally spend through my regular channels. Anyway, thought I would pass it along.

Beau, are you sure you bought what you really wanted? These have a much higher gate turn-on voltage than the IRLZ44N, which is more suitable for direct drive from a micro.

    Phil,

"Beau, are you sure you bought what you really wanted? These have a much higher gate turn-on voltage than the IRLZ44N, which is more suitable for direct drive from a micro." - Yes, exactly what I wanted ... In my app I didn't want logic level MOSFETS.

    All,
Phil brings up a good point... these MOSFETS are not LOGIC level and need to be used in your design with that in mind.

I bought some MOSFETS from cn-resource on Ebay, the best deal they would make on IRF510's was $8 for 10 shipped. Here's one of their listings:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/2-X-IRF510N-IRF510-Power-MOSFET-N-Channel-5-6A-100V-/330460549807?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf0fbd2af
The description clearly says "make offer" on large quantities.

No doubt that there are amazing deals to be had from China. I still don't understand how they ship things so fast and for FREE. I get stuff reliably in 7-10 days here in LA from China.
