Hey guys wassup,
I have an old usb cam but can't seem to find anything on the pin outs. I cut the usb end off and stripped the cable exposing a red,black,white and green wire. I'm assuming the red and black is for the 5V. Not sure what the white and green is for, I'm guessing video. My question is : would I be able to build a cam w/storage using a basic stamp? Has anyone ever used a usb cam for such projejcts before? Is it complicated to do? My goal is to build a helmet cam for outdoor activities but if its way beyond my programming skill ill pass and just buy a gopro.

black = gnd
white = D-
green = D+
White and green carry the bi-directional digital data.
It would take a lot more cpu power to do this than a BS has.
You could buy one of those little keychain cameras from ebay.
The good ones cost 25-30 dollars. They can store an hour of
640x480 NTSC video and are simple to use. Check with erco
for advice on how to get a good one and not a poor copy as
there are both good ones and Smile ones on ebay.
