So I ordered a used scribbler on Ebay a week ago and it finally arrived today. I was estatic at the condition of it, looked like the owner didnt even bother to program it. :thumb: How lucky was I?! I truly thought it was too good to be true since I bought the scribbler for just $50.67 (winning bid). My wife didnt know what I bought, (she has a rule about using the credit card through the internet). Due to those circumstances I was forced to quickly plug in the Scribbler and have my fun before my wife made her way home. My computer was on at the time so I jumped on and installed the Parallax software.
It was done in mere seconds, my face gleamed as I proceded to plug in the Scribbler. I tried to install a simple program but I had forgotten to turn on the Scribbler. As soon as I had turned it on, I heard the turning of a knob, it was my wife. I panicked and hid the Scribbler robot in our closet. My wife made her way upstairs, wondering why there had been a box in the living room, the one in which the Scribbler arrived in. As she entered the room I struggled to turn off the software which was still on. I simply turned off the screen in fear that I wouldnt be able to hide it. My wife came to me and asked, "Whats that box downstairs?" I replied "I'm not sure it was there when I got home." She hit me with a curveball "Could you then explain to me why it is opened?" I hesitated, "I'm not sure baby" trying to coerce her with my charisma. I couldnt believe it! She bought my bluff.
She turned around and was making her way out of the room. Then, the worst thing that can possibly happen, happened. The Scribbler had been left on, in my race to hide it. And thats when it made the sounds. "BEEP BOP BEEEEEEP!" Was my plan foiled? My wife started towards the closet door and opened it. She looked down at the curious blue robot minding its own business. "What is this?!" she screamed. "You bought this from ebay didnt you?!" she attacked. I was dumbfounded, what could I say to right this wrong? Soon enough At the height of her anger she said "This is very odd, you have always had a obsession with robots. I cant deal with this." We got in one little fight and my wife got scared she said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air.'
