Penguin compass calibration

I am having a hard time trying to get my compass calibrated. I ran the compass calibration and then the test program and it gives me some numbers from like 61 degrees to 67 degrees.I was wondering if it was a baud rate issue or something. I was careful not to have any magnetic interference around etc. Any suggestions?

What steps did you take to do the calibration?

The compass module is only accurate to 5.625 degrees per the Parallax document. Those swings seen to be very close the specs.

Sorry was away for awhile...I followed the instructions on the debug screen. Drew out a compass and all! The test results don't show any other direction other than varying from 61 to 67 degrees as I turn the Penguin through 360.

Sorry I could not be of help.

You may find a Penguin owner who would test your unit, to verify a problem exists.
You could send it to me, but you may find some closer to you.
Ask.
