EDIT: My mistake, nothing to see here

Hi,
I recently placed an order with Parallax for a new Xbee module. I've been waiting for it a few days now, and yet strangely I never received any email verification of my order, even though the shipping I specified included tracking. If I log in on the site, I also get no confirmation. I got the "Thank you for your order!" message and yet I see no sign of my order going though. Is it possible that it was lost? I've ordered from Parallax before, and I don't remember this every happening. I also checked my bank account and the amount was withdrawn.

Thanks,
Microcontrolled

No... you'll get it. I've noticed that on a few orders... but they always arrive in very short order.

I think that this would be best handled by sending an e-mail to sales@parallax.com.
When you complete an order at the store site it bounces back an order number.
Parallax have been very good to you, Microcontrolled, and you ought to be much more temperate than this.

@PJ Allen: you're right, probably should have just dropped an email instead of posting the question to the forum, but I didn't mean to sound complaining, I was just asking because I need the part fast and i wanted to know if I should re-order. Plus I knew that Parallax isn't open weekends and it would be a few days until I got an answer, so I'd like to know before then. I edited in the part about checking my bank account afterward, and probably wouldn't have posted it in the first place had I checked that first. wjsteele's remark answered my question.
Thanks, though, next time I have a question I'll use email or PM first to avoid accidental "bad publicity".
@wjsteele: Thanks, that answered my question perfectly. :-)

    Hi Microcontrolled,

I checked on your order and it shipped out on the 24th. It shipped US Priority mail, so no tracking number, but you should receive it tomorrow. If you have any troubles receiving your order, please e-mail me at jcarey@parallax.com.

    Thanks,

I'm glad to see the sales staff made it out from under that bus.

Thanks, so sorry for the trouble. This is the first time I've actually ordered though Parallax, normally I go though a distributor so that I can get various components as well, so I thought like a newbie and posted this, and all it seemed to do was cause Parallax marketing trouble and collect rude remarks from other forum members. Next time I'll not post anything, after all Parallax has done for me, I don't want to cause any trouble for them.

I've edited the title line as to not attract attention.

Relax Mc - no apology necessary!

Management (Ken in particular) is very open with customers (sometimes I think to a fault - but that's my opinion, and probably why I'm not management :).

In this case, I learned that USPS shipping doesn't automatically send out tracking info directly - This isn't an excuse, but we're working on so many things right now... I know that's in the stack somewhere - but not implemented yet - since we're upgrading so many other aspects of what we do here - these forums, for example, as well as new production equipment too. Not to mention the fact that we have a long, cool list of new products in the pipeline as well...

Besides, we don't "tar and feather" customers for speaking out.
At least not that I can recall recently ;-)

@ P!-Ro - You're right - caught my attention too. I think the best way to get looked at, is to say "Don't look at me!"

    Yes, me too. Very interesting.

BTW, Parallax are very good with shipping. Generally if you order on a particular day you can expect delivery the day before. Sometimes earlier!

(Seriously, even to Australia they are only a few working days. Great company to do business with.)
