40 pin dip stock

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the stock on the 40 pin dips has been droping quickly, I hope we don't have the same problem as last time (a few months of no 40 pin dips in stock).

very glad that there are 2345 back in stock (26 February 2011 8:52 AM CET)

but I guess if a lot of people order in sizes of 30+ it won't last very long

Why is the stock on the most popular dip chip kept so low while the stock on the other two (which typical hobbyists cannot use easily) is so high?

Hopefully, it tells us that the commercial usage of the SM parts is much higher, and the DIPs are intended for prototype/hobby use.

As an experiment, I was able to add 20 pieces to my cart, despite only four being available! It looks like a web page cock-up.
