Integrating GPS and IMU

I'm currently working on a UAV project of mine and I've been wondering how some people on the forums integrate GPS into their inertial measurements if at all. I've also looked at some objects at the OBEX and see several Kalman filtering programs including an object that does integration. Can anyone voice for their accuracy, ease of use, and opinions?
