Should I pronounce it dead?

It seems I made an "epic boo-boo" on one of my Prop kits. Can someone confirm the death of my Propeller Chip - 44-Pin QFP?
The error was mounting the chip rotated 90 degrees CW and not catching the mistake until after I had applied power.
I have remounted it in the correct orientation by lifting it with heat gun and replacing it properly.
:depressed: I do believe it is a lost cause now.

You might get lucky with a Hot MILF if you express how hurt you are by loss of your little Prop.
P31 was tied to Vss, but it's the Rx PIN of the PC boot connection. So, it depends on the hardware you have attached on PINs 30 and 28 which are output PINs during boot.
What I'm not sure about are the XO and XI PINs. But my guess is that these are only activated if the program switches to external clock.
So, I believe your prop had a pretty good chance to survive.
You missed the heat-gun part!
The one I stuffed 9 Volts up departed there and then.
(I have a drawer full of AVRs and I never seem to persicute them, Hey-Ho)
It appears that I have booger'd up the traces on the Schmartboard too. I'll just toss this one in the drawer and put another one together. Heck, I bought them to learn... I have learned!!

I've been using it for years. I actually made some money with it, replacing a chip for someone!
