It failed because it could not adapt to office environments, hand no hands and no fingers, and thus could not type. And business travel is already somewhat obsolete by the use of good teleconferencing systems. However, to succeed at this with robots, we will need a humanoid avatar to serve as our bodies at the site. The sites can use whatever means to create the avatars, either in the workplace or a virtual meeting room.
