Anyone had experience connecting a GM862-GPS to a propeller chip? I am wanting to be able to use the GM862 for both GPS location processing and to send that location information plus a couple other parts through the GM862 modem. How exactly are the connections made for this? How does the propeller issue the GM862 commands?

Thanks,
Joseph

Have you read the GM862 documentation? Everything you need is in there. I didn't have any problems using the similar GE863 with a small PIC.

Have a look at this script which will get you onto the internet (using GC864 but believe 862 is very similar). Once connected you can use ftp/http/email or socket connections to send the data to your destination.

You need to change the APN (vfinternet.au is for the Vodafone network here) to that of your carrier
