Hello,
This Sunday at the monthly Chibots meeting, I will be giving a presentation titled "Uninterrupted Multi-Core Programming at the Speed of Thought - Use and Programming of the Parallax Propeller Processor in the 12Blocks Environment”. If there are any Parallaxians or others who are interested in the Chicago area, I invite you to attend.

The presentation is intended to showcase the Propeller capabilities and the easy access provided by 12Blocks. This presentation is not SPIN intensive, in fact quite the opposite; and is primarily directed at users who know a little about the Propeller, less about SPIN, but are interested in tapping into the power of the Prop chip.

Hanno Sander, 12Bocks creator, is expected to attend via Skype call to answer any questions and give a bit of insight as to what may be expected in the coming months.

At the conclusion of the presentation, we will give away a Propeller Demo board, and a Propeller prototype board as well as two 12Blocks licenses. The hardware is courtesy of Parallax and the software is courtesy of Hanno.

Best Regards,
Steve Woodrough

Yes, the code is available, and not just as a picture. The files have a .12b extension and include the libraries, schematics, pictures, and notes related to the project work. I can email the files to you if like, and Hanno has copies of everything I've done that will hopefully be posted to a website. To date I have transcribed most of the Stamps in Class BOE BOT BS2 programs into 12Blocks. I can't say that they are prefect copies, but they are a starting point. I'm currently working on transcribing the Understanding Signals and IR Remote BS programs. Looking ahead I intend to do the same with the Smart Sensors and Process Control programs.

    Best Regards
    Steve
