Remote collaboration software

Does anyone have any recommendations for remote collaborative software? I would like to collaborate on a project with someone remotely and be able to see each others PC screen if possible.

Thanks.
Don

look for "web conferencing", but Webex and GoToMeeting are the two big players (i.e. $$) They have trials, and may have affordable/free products for one on one type meetings. Lotus Unyte has a free product that allows one on one, and the "up to five attendees" version is about $100 per year.

You can also check Skype. They have a couple tools for this.

Lastly, if you're using a recent MS Windows OS, you could probably make the "remote help" feature work for you.

All of these will (or at least should) require some work on your firewall for one or both users, so that there is a way to make the connection.

There are also remote access services/software like PCAnywhere that may work for you, I'm not sure.

Although it only works one way (as far as I know) I use Teamveiwer (free for personal use) that allows you to see the other persons desktop and even run programs and make changes on their Windows computer http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx. It has to be installed on both yours and the other users computer.

Thanks for the replies. I found Teamviewer yesterday and tried it out using 2 different computers on my network. It does work nice. Last night I had the colleague that I am conferencing with download and install Skype. I found out that with Skype you can also share your screen so for what we needed to do that worked ok. It let us talk and collaborate on some program code.
