I am trying to find info regarding the SPI (serial peripheral interface) so I search for "SPI". It finds nothing. Yet if I just browse the forums there are a number of entries that very clearly have "SPI" in the title and pertain to SPI.

What gives? How can I do a search for questions and answers regarding useof the SPI?

SPI is less the lower limit on word length for the forum search engine. SavageCircuits.com worked out a solution but I don't know of any here yet. Perhaps Chris Savage or somebody could chime in.

Hope that at least explains why for you.

Oh and welcome to the site.

Well, that explains it. But the answer certainly doesn't help my search ;-( .

So I searched the forums for "search short words" and found this:

The trick is to add some wildcards to your search, to get the length up over 4 characters, e.g. *SPI*. Unfortunately, you may find that pattern will match "spin" which will give you a lot of false positives :)
