Hi all.
Sorry, I can remember a thread that talk about the pchip in DIP package, but I can't find it again.
What happened ? could I use that package for a new project ? or it will be discontinued ?

    Here's the product page:

It looks like there are plenty in stock, and I'm virtually certain there are no plans afoot to discontinue that package.

    Thank you Phil !
I've checked also Parallax site, and I saw that the DIP stock is close enough for me, but is slower than for other packages, so that thread comes to my memory, although my memory can fails, and they were talking about another thing about DIP and not to be discontinued.
I want to be sure until get hundreds of PCB's to the garbage.

Slower than other packages?? They are all the same chip and operate at the same speeds. Just because it is in a DIP form factor doesn't make it slower than the other propeller chips. Just pick the package that is most convient for the board you are building.

Based on what happened a year or so ago when the PDIP was out of stock for a brief time, I suspect Parallax will keep plenty on hand for years to come..
