Problems with botplot and calibrate_all

I'm a first time boe-bot owner and I'm currently working with the encoders. I have them working fine but my problem is with the 2 exe files. They won't detect the boe-bot.
I've successfully changed the com port from 5 to 8, which the programs seem to be scanning for, but the problem persists.
I am running Win7 64bit and my boe-bot has the usb interface. My guess is that is the problem. The usb, not win7.
Are there any other versions of this program roaming around?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
