I just put up a detailed review on 'Programming & Customizing the Multicore Propeller Microcontroller', the 400 page book from McGraw Hill on the Propeller, you can read it here.

I go into detail in the review and look at each of the chapters, but overall, I thought was a pretty good book and a great compliment to the Propeller Manual. Let me know what you think!

I liked the form and style of this book. It's a good read. Many of the topics are not a current focus of mine, and I enjoyed reading about them anyway, and came away with some good info I could use. To me, that's one of the better attributes of technical books. Often we consult them when needed. When it's favorable to just read them on idle time, and that's enjoyable, and educational as well, there is a lot of value there.

    Recommended.

I have to agree - most technical books are boring. 'Programming & Customizing' does a great job of teaching by example. And the examples are entertaining even if you aren't currently focused on them. If you are working on Xbee / data logging / speech / remote keyboards / etc., though, then the book is especially handy.

Nice book. Some of the projects use atypical clock frequency/crystal settings that stymied me until I checked for it.

    Ha! Fixed.

@Clive - I tried the ebook version on a regular kindle and my friend's kindle DX - I think most folks will find the print version easier to use.
