Currently rumors are beginning to crop up that Steve Jobs is having himself modified to become Apple's first iDroid which will allow him to become CEO for eternity.

iKnow this is merely an iRumor. IThink in the distant iFuture it will be possible to place the iConsciousness into an iEntity. But, as you know, both Jobs and Gates have much more work to do before iSaving their iEntities. They will have a much greater chance at iEternity by iModeling and iSims. Besides, nothing lasts iForever. Not even the iStars or iUniverse.

I was wondering about this "i" thing. "iThis" and "iThat".

Then it occurred to me, Apple is moving toward the "iRobot".

Any way we should not not jest at Steve expense just now, he's not a well man. Despite the fact I have never seriously considered buying any Apple products Apple and Steve get all my respect for providing interesting computers and gadgets in a vast ocean of blandness.

Actually I was thinking along the terms of "free jack".

Steve probably doesn't want to comment because of regulations and the SEC. His health has become a focus for investors.

It is pretty amazing what the doctors have done for him.

I like the ipod but it is too hard for me to type on it. The device has given me a little envy but I'll probably look for an Android alternative at some point.

    @Heater,

You said "Any way we should not not jest at Steve expense just now, he's not a well man." Way to go, I totally agree. Fighting serious illness is not a laughing matter.

There is always the possibility of the organ itself failing. Also consider that the fella is taking a boatload of immune suppressive drugs which can also create conditions for recurrence of cancer. The good news is that Apple has a strong enough back bench of executives who can take his place when the time comes.

Steve in feeling the effects of competing with Bill.
    '
This has made Steve really sick and their running out of organs to replace.
    '
Windows is coming out with a Phone to compete with the Iphone or what ever its called (the apple phone)
    '
I think All you apple users should sign up as organ donors!
    '
Because the cell phone gimmick is about to make a big change

I do realize that Jobs is not well and that this may indeed be the end game for him as nobody lives forever. But the mystique of Apple makes us all wonder if something new and wonderful will suddenly appear. If only he could simply evolve into an iDroid, we might continue on for some time.

I've never gotten into Apple products due to the added expense, but always admitted their quality has been superior to most.

The real irony may be that Apple's OS is a fork of Unix and by being so, it too offers more than MS Windows and may surpass Windows over the long haul.

I used to set up new apples and pcs working for a dealer. Out of 30 new apple boxes, all apples worked. Out of 30 pc boxes, 30 pcs required service.

I don't remember the IThis and iThat before Issac Asimov came out with his book iRobot. Did Apple borrow from his book??

I didn't see a smiley on that statement -- the book "I, Robot" was published in 1950, way before Apple started as a company.

There is something to consider and it is that he provides an image for the company unlike other CEOs that remain sort of in the shadows. If it was the press the one who put it in the spotlight or the company itself it is of little relevance now because it is evrything tied to him (as once ms was tied to Gates) "his vision" "his way" and so on. Maybe it is all part of publicity but the shares are probably mostly based on speculation and not real value then if they dive or rise 3 or 4 % is of little importance to us. Their products have something goning on for them, I mean they are bare-bones and sort of work a bit more than other competing products in the limited amount that I have used. Sadly, coming from a PC background of upgrading as I want... things are not flexible by design. But everyone knows that you either live with it or use something else. I'd rather have a MBPro that this top of the line Vaio laptop and not only it is Sony who it is at fault but MS as well :(. (I speak specifically about the sleep/hybernation/battery problems) how can it be that is does not work ?.

Pretty funny, localroger. Apparently, it is famous that he is a most unpleasant and abusive person. Whatever you think, he is likely not long for this world.
