    Works fine on my machine. The data is linked correctly. I suggest you get the latest flash player, insure that you don't have a content filter blocking things, and turn off add blocker type scripts.

    The latest flash player has a bug with the latest version of FireFox so I'll wait until it's fixed. I do have an ad-block script running and will disable it to see if it fixes the problem.

    Turning off ad-block had no change.

    @Humanoido

    The videos are hosted on a public video site called vimeo. which is a "youtube" type video sharing site with less spam. Personally, I've tested these on several computers without issue, so I suspect the problem is on your end. See if you can access the website and it's videos directly and please report back.

    Humandio, you wouldn't be accessing the tutorials at work, or on some campus would you? This could easily be a content filter problem. I admin the firewall where I work, and it came turned on by default to deny those things. Of course, we turned that off quick, but it's something to think about.

    If you have more than one way to access the Internet, try those ways, and go directly to http://www.vimeo.com

    You might also try in a DOS shell to ping vimeo.com to see if you get reply from... or not.

    Might also be time to go browser shopping.

    Guys I have to say this is quite an acheivement.

    It's things like this that will truly make folks aware of the propeller and its capabilities.

    Thanks for your efforts.

    Thanks OBC, when you mentioned it is similar to youtube, then I knew the problem is country related. I have determined the problem is cause by the country in which I travel. In China, they have blocked youtube and vimeo, and most other video sites. The video can be accessed by unblocking it but it takes some effort and time. In this case, the fine work created at the Gadget Gangster Tutorial will be well worth the effort to see. Thanks for having patience with the situation at this end.

    @humanoido - Glad you have it figured out! The videos in this tutorial just show the finished product, so they aren't really necessary to go through the tutorial.

    Vimeo (and YouTube's) updated embed is an iframe - if your browser doesn't support flash (or you have it turned off or whatever) it will revert to html5. If you don't like html5 either, you can also download the avi file from vimeo's page directly.

    Glad you guys like it! Part 2 is coming up tomorrow.

    Interesting read. I have not heard of the AIgeneric driver, it sounds like it could be useful for graphics to? I will have to give it a try on the C3. Nice work guys:)

    Grab a copy of Retrotext from: http://www.savagecircuits.com/forums/showthread.php?444-Retrotext-Text-Driver-for-gaming& It's the same driver with a bit more refinement for experimenting outside of the Lightcycles project.

    Also, you'll want the MIGS.NESc3 from migs for C3 compatibility.

    Will we see Part X - Adapting light cycles to work with the S2? :)

    The pen is good for leaving the "light" trail. Sensors can determine whether the S2 is crossing a previous line.

    You know, we should do something with motors / robots. I like to keep them generic enough though, that you don't need buy a lot of hardware to follow along...

    Jeff in part 2 you have the value of the highest bit as 127, it should be 128.

    When it's all finished, a self contained PDF file would be nice.

    @Humanoido,

    Will consider that possibility.. What do you think of these in book form after we get a few more projects on the table?

    OBC, I think a book is a great idea and can be very useful. That's why I suggested the PDF format for a book that could be easily and readily distributed by downloading from the Parallax Forum to reach the widest number of people geographically. Plus, pdf is a standard that can work in all countries with standard PCs. If it's distributed from the Parallax Forum server, it won't fall under blocking. I have a pdf book example here.

    @Humanoido,

    Either way, my material will be given away freely anytime I have anything to say about it. Clearly, I'm heading toward publishing something in hard form. Now it's just a matter of the best way to provide it freely.

    For the moment it's obvious that this material is driving both traffic and interest to what Nick is doing. It is a focused effort to ultimately support what Parallax is doing.
