Out of respect to forum members

Hello Everyone
Out of respect to all forum members except one individual, I would like to apologize for my behavior yesterday. Considering that many people have helped me on journey through Spin, it is only right that I try to help others. Therefore I will be reposting any source code that I feel can be of value to others.

I liked the post you started on CNC's But it didn't go over well with the industrial CNC bunch.

I think a new post with Propeller numeric control might go over better. PNC
'
I plan to use the Prop as an interface between the motors and a PC.
'
I need to learn how to interface gcode to a motor though a Prop.
'
Can we start over with out violating the forum rules.

Propeller numeric control
Some of these files may have been altered, but the main concept is still there. The attached drd file is the g-code for drilling pcb's. It is a file created by Cadsoft Eagle Light.
Hopefully I did not alter it too much and that it still works.

This is great dude
I'll second mpark's comment. And in order to mend fences to their completion, you might want to include that "one individual" as well. It's all too easy to assume malicious intent or overt effrontery where none, in fact exists. The "benefit of the doubt" can be a very useful tool for fostering and maintaining civil discourse.
On the whole, this is a very congenial, collegial forum. But occasionally, tempers do flare. As a consequence, letting apparent slights roll off one's back is a skill worth cultivating. In my experience, a manifest sensitivity to disparaging remarks can often be taken -- rightfully or not -- as a symptom of insecurity. Although I'm sure that's not the case in the context of that other thread, one could easily be forgiven for perceiving it as such.
We all appreciate your enthusiasm and contributions to Propeller lore. And I look forward to it continuing as you progress in your mastery of Spin and PASM!
All the best,
-Phil
I respect you and your opinions. If he can answer my one request in that post, then perhaps he can gain my respect also.
Bruce
P.S. Anyone looking for that data structure will have to dig real deep, or should I say that was once the case.
'
We can fly under the radar. No CNC B.S.
It's about the hobby, having fun, and knowing each other for the great people we are. No worries here. I forgive and forget rather easily, another skill I recommend cultivating.
I also respect your opinion, but I still hold my ground. He had a total lack of respect for me, by entering my thread and trying to teach the teacher. How could I ever gain respect by allowing that. Saying I need lessons, and then saying that I don't know the difference between data types and data structures. And then after he claims he knows C++, I ask him to provide the data structure for an icon and he ignores the request. Why I ask?
Bruce
P.S. It is a dead issue. You guys should not care, I am not going to harass him. I just lost respect for him. I actually liked him well before he did that.
To be fair, icons are not part of C++ per se, so your challenge isn't at all on point.
I think it is a fair question.
Bruce
I said it is a dead issue and I see you just won't leave it alone. Are you an instigator?
Bruce
I think you are being overly defensive and more of an instigator than anyone by how you are reacting to all this. You are the one who won't let it be. This all blew up because of your reaction to it. You should have just sent the people you had a problem with a private message discussing your concerns with them.
Roy
p.s. I partially agree with you that CNC covers more than just certain specific machines, but I don't agree that it really applies to any machine with computer control. It's really a silly argument to have in the first place. Does it really matter?
p.p.s. The data structure of an icon has nothing to do with C++ proficiency at all. A more appropriate C++ question would have been about classes or templates, or some other C++ language feature (virtual inheritance, template specializations, operator overloading, etc.). The structure of an icon needs much more context to even define, do you mean a windows icon, a linux icon, a max osx icon, a gem icon, or what? Even if you specified an OS for the icon, there are variations within that.
p.p.p.s. I look forward to your overly defensive reaction to this post by me. I'm such an evil instigator, aren't I?
Put it in writing .....
