HMC6352 sensor problem

Hi all
I bought 2 HMC6352 sensors from parallax and after a small time of using I got the compass damaged and suddely it stoped working.
Any body has faced similar issues? I dont want to damage my third sensor that I just ordred it.__________________________

It would help if you would tell us how you got it damaged and how you have it connected to the other parts in your system. Also what code you are using and has it stopped completely or just not giving you correct data.
