I am not one to normally complain

Hello Everyone

So instead of complaining I want to make a suggestion. I normally go to the Parallax homepage to access this wonderful forum. When I click the FORUM button the forum homepage opens within a new window. May I suggest removing the window.open(....) command and link straight to the forum homepage and add a button to the menubar within the forum for the Parallax homepage. I am fairly certain that 99.9% of the forum users can find parallax.com without having an extra window on the taskbar. It is just a suggestion, and I only suggest it, because all I do is keep closing it, and I imagine there are many others that do the same. A homepage button for parallax.com on the forum menubar should provide ready access to Parallax products.

Bruce

Oh wait there it is. It says Parallax.com

May I suggest to simply use a direct link to the forum? I have the forum as the starting page of the browser. So, if I want to switch to parallax home, it's good that it opens a new window. Closing the forum window is a big NO NO! ;o)

Also, if you don't want the pop up, you can open it in a new tab. In IE simply hold down the CTRL key while clicking the link and a new tab will open. I'm sure all the other browsers have the same kind of feature.

    Never noticed.
I used to have it my homepage but recently reset it to blank. However, the prop forum is the first favorite link on my list. I rarely look at the parallax homepage now - used to look regularly when they had the daily specials.

I must say however, that the Parallax website has improved dramatically over the past year. Congratulations to Ken and the crew :)

There are a couple of things I don't like about the new forum software, but on the whole it is much better than both previous versions... and search now works quite well :)

I would have to agree that the Parallax site has improved significantly. This doesn't really pertain to site so much, but I wish they would hold onto their product offerings a little longer. A while back they had "lets call it an ink jet module". They no longer carry it and I wish I would have picked one up when I had the chance and just stored it away.

    Bruce,

I wonder what the problem is? If I go to "parallax.com" and then hit the "Forums" button and then "Forum", well, then I end up here.

All this happens in the same tab. No new windows anywhere. In Firefox or Chrome.

Which browser is giving you the problem?

Until about a week ago, it always popped open a new window to the forum. I am just being grateful for the change. For many years, I have been closing an unnecessary window. LOL... The problem is now resolved or should I say solved. I will mark this thread as solved. Thank you Parallax.

    That is good to hear.

What was it that actually fixed the problem?

The Daily Deals are on the Parallax.com home page, by the by.

It would have to be a change to the homepage coding.

    LOL

Is this a simple test to see if I will complain?

    The pop ups are back.

No complaints here, just a
