Missing image thumbnails

FOUND IT!! (see below)

I noted a couple of attached images ended up large. I also noted those were removed. I didn't know they were large at the time, running the browser full screen.

(deleted, as it was a comment on forum function and form, which is just fine)

UPDATE: Not missing, just on a recent post! Tinkering and forum meanderings below!

I haven't noticed this. Can you point to a post where this is happening?

Well, I am seeing older images are still there. So yeah, something is goofy with this particular computer. I am on a different one I normally don't use.

The most recent post I made didn't generate thumbnails. Here's a link. I'm gonna go tinker with the editor and see what I did differently!

Did a browser restart, and the older posts are displaying thumbnails now.

BMP may not be a supported MIME type for images. Try GIF, JPG, or PNG instead.

    That's exactly what it is!!

Good thing. I was worried there for a moment. I was using a different machine for my last few prop sessions, and it's not generating images the same way I had set defaults for.

Have had those defaults for YEARS, so I've completely forgotten about them.

The capture device outputs big old bitmaps. Don't want those anyway. Now I know there are a few sitting in the forum. Should I go ditch them, or just avoid this going forward. Really, it's a few megabytes.

Sheesh. Hate that kind of thing. Good call Phil. Appreciated.

Meh! They still work when you click on them, although Opera had to ask me what I wanted to do with it. I wouldn't worry about it.

I knew where there were a couple. I ditched them. Won't bother past that, and am just looking for the setting to get this capture device to do JPEG, then it's no worries in the future.

If you're capturing graphical images, I would recommend GIF or PNG. JPG is fine for photos with soft features, but it produces undesirable artifacts when applied to images with high contrast and hard edges.
