Can someone recommend a Sata HD Enclosure?

I can easily find one on Newegg or Tigerdirect but I don't know what is bad or good. Our drive is less than 500 GB and some models come with fans and others don't. I won't be leaving ours on all the time.

I'm looking for something that is most compatible with the fewest problems.

Thank you.

At Newegg, I generally just sort by "Most Reviews" (to see what other people are buying) then look for items rated at 4 or 5 eggs. I was just looking for the same thing the other day and I think I'm going to buy the Rosewill RX-358-S in black.

One thing I saw that I didn't know existed was the type that isn't actually an enclosure but works like a docking station. I can see how that could be useful in some situations.

Thank you. I took your advice. I ordered one (in white / silver) and it came today. I did some troubleshooting and make sure when you put it in the case that you push the hard drive back all the way into the connections. I works great except for that problem I had initially.

I think the power supply wire could be thicker but I'm not complaining right now.

I use the BlacX, just plug in drives as I need them. In fact, took apart a WD MyBook that failed a few days ago, plugged the drive into the BlacX - all is good again.
