Question about casing for a PING sensor.

Hi all-
I have a quick question thats hopefully easy to solve. I want to put a PING sensor into a case to make it waterproof, but I dont know if its possible. I'm assuming that anything I put blocking the sensor will obviously block the sonic ping, but I was curious if theres a way to work around this. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are right that anything blocking the sensor will render it pretty much useless. There are a few "water resistant" ultra sonic rangers but they cost more. Seems to me I recently saw one with sealed transducers but I will have to find a link.
