how do you type a local variable separator?
It looks like a vertical line or an "I"

Given that Finland is the land of Linux and that Linux is a Unix clone and that Unix uses pipes "|" who on earth thought that was a good idea?

No, I put that badly. The bottom row of my keyboard is, from left to right:
Ctrl, Window/Start, Alt, Space, Alt Gr, Unknown, Ctrl
I never tried pressing that "Unknown" key with the unrecognisable symbol on it before:.) It seems to bring up menus in FireFox at least.
I won't remap my keyboard, makes to life too confusing when jumping around all the machines in our offices and lab.
