Dang it, here's a guy who beat me to making some of the nifty robots I've been planning using those ~$3 servos. Quite well done, even though he's using a Picaxe board & servo controller!

Erco, yes his robots look neat.

But, don't "Real Robots" use wood, not plastic?

I have 6 of these 3.7g Sub-Micro Servos looking for a neat little project.

I'd like to see a video of his quadruped actually walking. I understand alternate tripod gait, but the four legged BEAM walkers I've seen shuffle rather than walk. With his two degrees of freedom per leg, the robot could generate some real walking gaits.

Notice that only the two front legs have rubber tips on them for traction; the rear legs must be free to slide and skid sideways, otherwise they would hurt more than they help.
