How to wire L293NE

I need help with wiring this chip, please. I attached a photo that I got from the web. Looking the photo, the motor battery is in the lower left corner. I would apply logic 3.3V at pin #1. Where do I put logic ground?

here is a tutorial. yes it is an arduino, but the same will hold true with a bs2 or prop.

The data sheet shows the four ground connections. 4,5,12,13. Matches up with the black wires in your attachment.

I'm going to take a chance and place logic and motor ground in the same buss. (ZZZT !..."cough, cough")

Not sure that will work. I need to restudy data sheet
