Has anyone put thought into SSL/HTTPS?

Folks,
I'm wondering if anyone has given any thought to SSL/HTTPS. I suspect it's probably going to be too much of a challenge within the Propellers memory constraints. But if we consider external key generation (maybe on a Linux box, then writing to the SD card), and some other tricks maybe we can squeeze it in.
Before I do more research;
Has anyone done any research on this possibility?
Has anyone got any real world experience in implementing SSL/HTTPS on a micro-controller.
I agree this is probably the holy grail for the Spinneret, and would likely need many hands to achieve if it's at all technically feasable.
Thoughts?
