Hi,
Before I go any further I need to know if this chip will be able to control a non-stepper motor. It would be some thing like this: on 1s, pause, reverse poles 1s, pause, loop.

    The BS2 cannot drive a motor directly unless it is a very, very small motor such as the tiny motors that make cel phones vibrate. This is true for all microcontrollers. What it can do is control some transistors, which can be thought of as switches. If the transistors are arrange in an H Bridge then you can have full control over the motor.

    Does anybody know if their is a driver board on the back of the 2x16 serial lcd

    This 2x16 Serial LCD has a small board attached to the back of the LCD for driving the display.

    W9GFO, thanks for the reply. I might already have an H Bridge on the motors. I'll check.
