Power Problems?

I'm working on a senior project for college where we are using 4 surface mount Propellers, that are able to comunicate and share data. For safety we have made it so that there must be a verification that the information was recieved before the computing is able to continue. Right now we are having issues where it seems that one of the units will "shut down." We have placed an LED to flash on one of the outputs (it is in the main loop), sometimes the led will remain on and sometimes it shuts off, when this happens it is as if the whole chip is powered down. We are using an oscilloscope to monitor the input voltage and it is not changing. Can someone out there offer any help?

It could be a lot of things. You might have a bad connection somewhere, cracked solder joint, a short, programming error, insufficient power, bad chip, bad resonator, no filter caps... You should always check your power supply first and make sure it is functioning.

You can probably get some help here, but you'll need to provide more details and probably some code. Otherwise, we really have no idea what you're doing.

c-bryan: Firstly, welcome to the prop.

Could you post your schematic and a pic of the board(s). This may help. I presume you have followed the power requirements of the propeller chip. All power connections and ground connections MUST be connected to the prop, a 0.1uf cap across each set of power/ground pins and a bulk capacitor 10uF tantalum across the power/ground at the pins closest to the xtal.
