    As you've noticed, this thread has been moved. The "Projects" forum is for in-process or completed projects using Parallax products and is for people to explain and show what they're doing.

    Regarding your question ... We can't help you to program an 8051. If you haven't looked already, there is a lot of information on IR remotes and how to process the information received using Parallax Stamps. Download the "IR Remote for the BoeBot robot" tutorial and read it. Go to the main Parallax webpage and click on the Downloads button, then click on the Educational Tutorials & Translations button and you'll see a link to the tutorial. Even though the tutorial is intended for Stamps, the information also can help you understand how to process IR remote data using other microcontrollers like the 8051.
