If I want a robot to follow a circumference for a given radius for, say, 1 to 3 degrees what formula would I use? Let's say the circle's center was 25 meters away and I wanted the robot to follow that arc for 2 degrees. How far would that robot travel in cm?

The circumference of a circle is 2 x PI x Radius. 25 meters is 2500cm, so we have 2 x PI x 2500cm. A circle is 360 degrees, so we want 2/360th of the circumference, so the distance travelled is 2/360 x 2 x PI x 2500 cm.

Thanks Mike. I would have spent a good amount of time looking in the wrong place for an answer. You know, if you ever switched your loyalties to a different forum there might be reports of international civil unrest. :)

I'm tempted to delete this post simply because we don't want to risk putting that kind of thought in Mike's head.
