I just wanted to bring to your attention some cables I found. I have not bought any, do not know the company, so use at your own risk.

I use jumpers I made over 30 years ago which have M-M, M-F and F-F and have found them an invaluable tool when prototyping or testing. They are similar but use the RS232 pins so do not work as well as proper pin stake cables.

I realise this is not the correct thread, but posting elsewhere is likely to be missed.

The truly nice thing about jumper wires with attached connectors is that the wires can be flexible but with ends that don't unravel or become flaccid.

These kinds of jumper wires have been showing up a lot lately in a bunch of different places. After years and years of making my own, I've started buying them so that I have them around when I'm in hurry. I get them from www.pololu.com . You can get wires with male and female ends and buy the housings separately - making it easy to make custom multi-conductor cables.

They are compatible with the terminals and housings that I've been buying for years from places like www.jameco.com .

I have male and female pins and some housing on order in large quantities. But I am not buying cables so you will have to make your own. However, these are a great cheap solution for those odd prototypes and playing.
