So far, I like it.

I'm having some trouble coming up with things to complain about on this new forum.

I'd like to be able to delete posts. I don't do it often but when I do, it is because they are of no value.

Editing titles would be nice but I can understand how that could be troublesome.

Everything else, the colors, inline video, blogs, link to Parallax.com up top, easy navigation to new posts - and all of my own posts, it's all very nice.

Thank you,

Rich H

I agree, although I haven't explored nearly enough yet. So far it's a nice change.

The background is way to bright difficult to read. So maybe more gray, blue or yellow. have not found any place to change this. other than that it's a nice change.

'Looks like the "Chief of Crankiness" (i.e. moi) could be out of a job! Except where noted in another thread regarding edits and deletes, I can't really see much to complain about. I do look forward to the skinning capability, as I would like to darken things a bit.

    Good job, guys!

This release includes a blogging feature, which the local forumratti decided was worth deploying. The new eye candy is a direct result of forum member's feedback on the previous schemes.

We will be adding more skins as we test/create them. When more skins are made available a drop-down menu will appear at the lower left-hand side of the discussion forums. The Parallax Default will remain as such, but the other skins will be saved to your user account; each section of the forums will display in the new color.

First though, many icons and css files need to be fiddled with before we release them.

The first change to vB3 occurred because the forums were in need of an update and repair. While that was up for public use we started looking into the other options available and decided that the features lent us by upgrading to vB4 were worth the effort. Thus we moved our efforts towards providing what you see now.

Now that the Forums are at this point we won't be making any massive changes like those we've made in the recent past; however minor changes (a few graphics, some more navigation items, etc) will be implemented.

Interesting, I know we're working on mobile API for a future upgrade; this might fix that issue. The people at vBulletin have programmed an app that works for iDevices (iPad, iPod, iPhone,iEtc) and they are currently working on one for use with other mobile devices. We hope to have this available when the mobile apps are ready for public use.

The iDevices app won't work on our forums yet (it is called vBulletin Mobile) but it will in the future.
