Yo. I have recently entered into the "video age" of Prop programming and i love it. I have already tried out quite a few demos and i am starting to convert my projects over to use a TV for debugging/ displaying graphics and text. One problem... Sometimes i want to move my experiments around. I found this little baby on Amazon and i think it looks solid. it should work with a prop. I think

50 bucks is not bad, but is there a better bargain to be had? What kinds do you guys use in this price range?

$50 is a good price. Target sells the same unit for $130.

    Yes, that's a good deal.

I bought the one from newegg.com that tonyp12 reported on in this message. I suspect that internally these 7" TVs are all identical or nearly so.

It's a good price for that unit. That's not necessarily an endorsement of the unit itself. :)

@ Phil...Well, people on Amazon gave it very good ratings and pretty much anything with A/V input should work with a Prop? Plus it was CHEAP!!

Rav - did you read all the 120+ one-star reviews?

    Not a pretty sight...

@Davejames.. Overall it got a 3.5 star rating(70%). Also, a lot of people were complaining about its poor wireless reception, which has nothing to do with my intended application. I also have a 30 day money back guarantee, so if it is a POJ then i will not be out 50 bucks...It still is a pretty good deal.

7" to 10" is a nice size for working with the Propeller. A lot of little projects don't need a huge screen, but less than 7" is rather confined.

I'd pay twice that amount IF it had VGA inputs.

Not trying to hijack my own thread, but why do people use VGA over TV? TV uses less I/O pins and seems easier to use?

You get better horizontal resolution with VGA. NTSC is severely bandwidth-limited, which cripples the detail you can display in a line.

    Resolution.

    Not New Year's, but readability.

Ah, that is interesting. I was always wondering why a lot of Prop boards came with both VGA and TV.
