Friend or Foe indentification
This is probably easy for someone.
I am planning a contest that will have 4 robots (S2) on a field in teams of 2. They have laser pointers as "cannons" mounted on servos and target areas on their body. They sense and count when they get "hit". If they do get hit, they react. Is there a simple way to identify yourself as a "friend" so we don't shoot our own team. RFID is omnidirectional, optical recognition is outa my league.
An alternative would be to use colored lasers and see if I can eliminate the friend "color" but I'm not sure.
I want the kids to develop it so it is coordinated, but that may be outside my skill and budget. Suggestions ?
Thanks
