Looking for the 3.3v to 5v logic sticky...
I'm embarrassed to even ask this, but after reading the FAQ and several posts, I realized I am not capable of finding resources that I should read first, before asking questions.
One such resource is a sticky thread on interfacing between 3.3V logic and 5V logic, which I really want to read and understand before complaining about my issues with the MSR1 board and I2C sensors, which do not behave the same as with a basic protoboard. I understand it has to do with the way the level translators operate, but I'm lost as how to properly interface things and why the MSR1 does erratic things (sometimes my servos move out of the blue, sometimes the board just shuts down, one time I smoke-fried an IR sensor that was perfectly fine).
I guess my question is how to get to all the reading material, such as the above mentioned sticky. The forum search does not help and the only stickies I see on the forum are a Hydra and Education Kit for the Propeller, a Penguin one for Robotics, etc...
Thank you and please accept my apologies as I sense I'm asking something that will infuriate most seasoned forum people... I'm only trying to get educated...
