Which prop tool version is the latest?

I have the latest version of the prop tool v1.2.7(R2) from the Parallax web site, but I notice when I run the S2 gui the version of the prop tool it is v1.2.7.3. Every time I switch back and forth between the gui's version and the normal prop tool it wants me to reassociate the .spin,.bin,.eeprom file types.
Is the v1.2.7.3 tool only for use with gui or can I use it like the normal prop tool so it doesn't want me to keep changing the file type associations?

The two are equivalent, except for one feature: the 1.2.7.3 version provided with the S2 GUI package allows multiple instances regardless of any Window registry settings previously established for the Prop Tool. This was necessary to ensure that the S2 GUI would always have its own instance open when the View Code button was clicked. Therefore, there is no harm in using this version as your default Propeller dev tool.
