Issue with USPS shipping on Parallax.com website.

A friend of mine just ordered a couple small prototype boards from Parallax but the website was only showing UPS as the available shipping method (over $10). I mention that USPS should be available but when he selected that the web site said that USPS wasn't and option and that he had an invalid ZIP. To make a long story short the issue was that the website doesn't seem to handle the ZIP+4 properly if you have the full ZIP code in your address. It works fine for UPS however. So, it appears that the shipping calculator for USPS needs to truncate the ZIP code field to 5 characters before doing the calculation so the sire will work fine with ZIP or ZIP+4 entered in the shipping address!

Since there aren't that many options for shipping it might make more sense to put them all in just a single drop down menu.

The USPS servers we use to obtain rate information do have certain limitations. The ZIP+4 error is something we hope USPS will correct soon. If that doesn't happen, we can certainly truncate the zip code on our side in the next shopping cart update. Until then, it's best to use a 5-digit zip code in the ship to address.

The next release of the shopping cart does include a single shipping carrier service list. This will let you shop both carriers for the best rate, all presented on a single page.
