The MACBookPro and the BS2

Hi, newbie here -

I've been searching the forums for any and all information about running the Basicstamp2 via a macbook pro. It has been difficult. I am hoping that this thread will consolidate into one place any future questions and responses into one easy to find place for anybody interested.

I have a Macbook Pro running OS X 10.6.5 on an Intel Core Duo Processor at 2.26GHz with 4GB, 1067 MHz DDR3

I have downloaded the MacBS2 Editor and have configured by serial port by downloading the Arduino 0006 "FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_6_Intel" driver.

I use the Parallax BOE with an BS2 and a USB Cable. I purchased the Parallax Basic Stamp Discovery Kit (USB Version) and I power it with a 9v DC converter.

In as much as the setup can now positively detect the module, I get a 'module is not responding, check power' report.

I have checked the power output to be working, and as the MacBS2 reports that it has found the module, could the problem then be with the BOE or the module itself?

How do I check?

I am grateful for any ideas. Thanks.
