I was at the local Frys in Tempe Arizona today and noticed that they have put on clearance the Penguin. I am not a robot guy so i did not purchase. It was regularly 149 priced at $99.00

Good find, Fry's site at http://www.frys.com/search?search_type=regular&sqxts=1&query_string=parallax+penguin&cat=0&submit.x=20&submit.y=19 makes it look like any color is on sale as long as it's black.

Somebody will pounce on these. Mum's the word (and mimsy were the borogroves) on Parallax's reform school Penguins...

I thought I saw ebony and coal too, not just black.

Speaking of Penguin color, there's more than just red, black n blue. The nickel machine prototype was eventually replaced with aluminum when it went into production. I have a nickel Penguin (absolutely not any reference to cost!) which I've taken around the world with me in my travels. Outside of Parallax, some individuals have machined Penguins out of Lexan and various plastic derivatives.
