Hey guys, I was wondering, which microcontroller or FPGA if any is preferred for satellite applications? i.e. cubesat.

I was just searching to see what a cubesat was and what a FPGA was. I searched google for FPGA satellite cubesat and found some interesting stuff..

I was wondering if any cubesats have ever flown Basic Stamp II's
'Cause if they did, it would sure help me get approval for our cubesat project featuring a BSII.
Project management insists on using only components that were used before though...

Any hints anybody?
