What is the minimum detectable voltage?

I'm building a drum memory system for my propeller, and before I go buy any opamps, I figured I'd check if I will need them. Does anyone know the smallest change in voltage that will make the propeller reliably regester a change?

With such a circuit you should be able to detect changes of some millivolts:

You need to adjust the Poti slightly under the input threshold voltage.
This expects a DC coupled signal.
